SLOW CAM v1.0 (2015)
A camera app with time-related filters, which delivers more messages and meanings than photo itself to the recipient. Once the photo message is send, the recipient will get a notification and he will be able to see a fuzzy picture masked by an animated time-filter. The recipient will be able to see the photo clearly when certain criteria is met. With the advance of technology, we are lived in the “digital now.” The idea is to transform what is traditionally a fast-moving activity into a contemplative experience. It is a new way of communication. Time doesn't flow in the digital world in the same way that it does in the natural one, and we want to visualize it.

In our ‘connected’ world, where technology is developing with astonishing speed, it becomes harder and harder for us to slow down and make time to feel things. The internet makes communication instantaneous and takes away our sense of time.

Time can be presented in varies ways with digital characteristics. Morever, which way, i.e., time filter, people choose to go with a photo may create new meanings between the sender and the recipient.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Usually, people use filters to beautify their photos, but Slow Cam trys to explore the possibility of communication beyond photos and words.

Slow Cam not only tells you how much time you spend on waiting, but who you wait the most with infographics. Time can be quantify, but the meanings remain to senders and recipients.
