Responsive Banking System Design (2019)

A systematic UX planning for the biggest privately held bank in Taiwan by applying responsive design. Before this project, only a few people believe that RWD design can be done for a banking system with such complexity and tech limitations.

Next-Gen. Mobile Banking (2017)

The design introduces brand-new interactions which has never used in Taiwan's banking app before. Besides, it visualizes users' financial info to make it easy to read and understand.

Cross-channel Global Internet Banking (2017)

A cross-channel UX planning for corporate banking. I was in charge of the UX planning, setting design guidelines, and UX/UI team lead.

FinTech PoC Design (2016)

A UX planning and prototyping that shows what an exciting banking experience can be today. This design not only becomes the standard and sample for I*M Taiwan to demonstrate its ability in banking app design, but also successfully win several big deals.

Digital Native Banking UX (2016)

An systematic UX planning for a digital native bank in Taiwan. It helps users to do banking from their desktop, tablet, or smartphone. Our goal is to renovate the financial services to match users’ needs with banking capabilities and are easy and pleasant to use.

Global Internet Banking (2017)

The interaction flow for Corporate Banking is much more complex than Personal Banking due to the limits of authority, government regulations, compound forms, etc. I was in charge of the UX planning, setting design guidelines, and UX/UI/FE team lead.

Gamification UX in Banking (2017)

Gamification Design for an Engaging Banking Experience. It helps banks to attract new customers and build customer loyalty. It also provides the opportunity to promote new services and build their social reputation.

SMART PROJECTOR (2014)

An infrastructure and UX planning for BenQ smart home theater projector. Re-think how a new generation projector should work. It is part of the ecosystem of BenQ products.

DIGITAL OR SOLUTION (2013)

An integrated solution for the operation room. It helps medical teams to prepare operation, control connected surgical equipments, recorde patient data, finish surgical reports, and coordinate remotely with others.

MEMORY BOX (2013)

A hardware and software integrated solution to help users keep their life stories on the home cloud. User can use their smart devices as second screens to view, stream, sync, control, and share their photos and videos from the box.

QisDESIGN (2013)

An iPad app for branding and marketing for QisDesign - a premium lighting design brand. The interaction design aims to make browsing digital product catalog a fluid and beautiful mobile experience.

CLOUD MONITOR (2012)

A 21” android-based smart monitor designed to make multi-device interactions easier, especially for the white-collars when they are off-work. The UX planning is based on two usage contexts: Relaxation and Light productivity.

FAMILYBOARD (2012)

A cross-platforms and cross-devices service that helps family members stay connected and bring family closer. It provides a virtual place for the family to share and communicate with each other at anytime, anywhere.

QiSS ME (2011)

As an aftermarket firmware (ROM) provider for a number of Android-based smart phones, QiSS ME features a heavily-modified user interface for Taiwanese and provides a fresh user experience with cloud services and apps.

SMART TV (2011)

By investigating people's behaviors and activities in the living room, we restructuring and simplified the usages of smart technologies on the TV. The information that matters is just one click away.

COMPACT CAMERA (2011)

A SW/HW UI planning for BenQ compact cameras. This UI structure will become standards/guidelines for future models. The UI design focus on providing users great efficiency with intuitive operations.

nREADER (2010)

It is a 10” tablet designed for those who love to read and write. With SmartWork UI, it reintroduces the reading/writing experience to the digital era while preserving the sentiment of traditional pen/paper experience.

GEMINI (2009)

Gemini is an Android-Based smartphone with foldable dual touch screens, accompanied by an innovative user interface called “SmartDuet”, which opens up a whole new user experience. The design is awarded iF Gold (Germany).

TV OSD (2008)

This design has become BenQ's TV GUI signature for more than five years, and has been applied on more than 20 TV models.

MOBILE INTERNET DEVICE (2007)

This mobile internet device (MID) with the “Free Surf UI” optimizes online surfing experiences. It brings the real-life experiences back to the operations and shorten the distance between the electronic device and the physical world.

After doing commercial works for many years, Cynthia and two friends started the Digital Medicine Lab (DML) at 2014. Their objective is to provoke thoughts through art and design since they are all interested in the psychological or sociological changes caused by current or future technologies.

Here, they want to do something good to the society, something that is not only profit-driven. Being independent allows them to think freely, initiate interesting projects, and have fun with many experiments.

It is a new way of digital communication which emphasize the beauty of the time. A picture is worth MORE than a thousand words.

Pocket English (2015)

An app that helps young adults learning English through mobile channels.

VICTORY 1 & 2 (2015)

A strategic planning with digital design (web/app) to invite children aged 10-12 to sports and enable the potential in every young athlete in China.

GAME OF LOVE (2014)

Design consulting and interaction design (app and web design) for a matchmaking service with 90 million users in China. Password protected.

A location based service to help people discover new places by system recommendations and friends' suggestions.

After 2 years of adventure at DML, Cynthia started another one in 2016. She joined IBM as a Sr. UX consultant / team lead to renovate the customer experience for the banking industry.
